Quick Apply Full-time 1 hour ago Full Job Description We are a busy ophthalmology practice looking for a full time Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant.
The ideal candidate is a motivated, hard working, and a team player! Responsibilities include:
Registering patients upon arrival Intake new patient information Enter insurance information Verify insurance Schedule patient appointments as appropriate at check out Collecting co-pays and patient balances Direct patients, as appropriate Works well under pressure Patient work ups- including patient histories to be input in chart.
Experience in EHR preferably.
Minor procedure set up Pharmacy calls Triage Patient Calls Contact lens instruction Contact lens inventory and ordering Perform other duties as assigned Maintains patient traffic to exam and procedures rooms to ensure steady flow for physicians.
Administer drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes Maintain stock of supplies and medications.
Perform routine operational maintenance of ocular equipment and surgical instruments.
Performs other tests and measurements as requested by Ophthalmologist.
Gives appropriate patient educational handouts and training to patients.
