Associate Director - Communications (remote)

DescriptionThis is a remote position available to any qualified applicant in the United States.
The Associate Director (AD), Communications will own the development and execution of the 360-degree communications strategy for the company's Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFS&I) business unit (BU) and Communications, Media and Technology (CMT) BU.
The AD will leverage all elements of the Paid, Earned, Shared and Owned (PESO) communications model to ensure communications directly supports the achievement of the desired Cognizant business outcomes in the industries, including, but not limited to continued growth and recognition as an employer of choice in the IT industry by both current Associates and candidates.
The AD will also own the development and execution of an executive communications strategy for their BU leaders, positioning them as thought leaders both internally and externally.
This role reports to the Americas Communications Leader and is part of the global Cognizant commercial communications team.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
oOwns the development and execution of the 360-degree communications strategy for the BFS&I and CMT vertical business units and their respective leaders.
oManages the workflow and work assignments of industry communications with the relevant Cognizant and Agency teams to ensure effective collaboration and execution among team members driving timely, consistent, and quality work.
oLeads industry-specific vertical media activities in the US, preparing and drafting press releases and other media assets in partnership with Cognizant and PR Agency colleagues.
oDrives all internal communications for the industry leadership teams with input from, and in collaboration with, Cognizant internal business and functional stakeholders.
oOwns the strategy and execution of both internal and external communications channels on behalf of the leadership teams.
oOwns the development of the industry thought leadership platform for the industry leaders.
This includes support managing leaders' social media channels as necessary (i.
e.
LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, etc).
oServes as the deputy communications leader for the Americas region in support of the Americas Communications Leader.
oCollaborate with field marketing colleague(s) to secure speaking opportunities for industry leaders at relevant industry trade shows and events.
oMeasure and adapt communications activities, reporting out to industry and functional leadership on progress, and adjustments as necessary.
oPerforms other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

years of experience working in B2B communications in a global, publicly traded, company.

years of experience working with B2B industry trade publications and other media outlets.

years of internal/employee communications experience in a global, publicly traded, company.
oDemonstrated ability to develop 360-degree communications strategies with a bias towards action and execution.
oDemonstrated experience in managing executive social media presence.
oExcellent writing and editing skills across all communications channels (Media, social, web, internal).
oExcellent ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal guidance/direction.
oAdept at working in a fast-paced environment and matrixed organization.
oProven ability to work collaboratively across teams to execute common goals.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $125,000 - $165,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
