The Per Diem Cardiac RNs will work a few hours during the week (likely Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays w/ some shifts starting at 7 am - 12 noon or up until 3:30 pm). Possible other day shift hours might be available during the week especially to cover for FT staff member when on Paid Time Off.
These are great Per Diem RN jobs with just a few hours to cover during the week! The work schedule/hours are created one month in advance!
The Cardiac Rehab RNs functions as members of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Staff assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of assigned patients.
Specific Responsibilities:
_____ Assists with the orientation of new participants, responsible for the initial oral and written assessment of the patient and assists in development of the care plan with other staff members.
____ Supervises exercise session, monitoring patients for inappropriate responses to exercise. Responsible for blood pressure checks on all patients pre and post exercise and watching for abnormal responses on the telemetry device. Assesses patients pre, during and post exercise making appropriate referrals and/or recommendations to the patient, other staff, Medical Director and referring physician.
_____ Reports any significant patient conditions(dysrhythmias, abnormal blood pressure responses, change in patients status, etc.) to the patients cardiologist. Initiates ACLS measures and/or emergency care according to hospital policy.
_____ Charts and document initial assessment and daily patient information and progress.
_____ Initiates patient education using the interdisciplinary patient and family teaching record and updates routinely.
_____ Checks emergency supplies and equipment for proper function and adequate supply on a regular basis. Attends mock codes on a routine basis giving appropriate feedback and constructive criticism where appropriate.
_____ Attends all scheduled staff meetings and participates in quarterly staff education.
_____ Maintains RN licensure. Keep current in the field of Cardiac Rehabilitation through journals, in-services, and conferences.
_____ Demonstrates accurate cardiovascular physical assessment.
_____ Interprets twelve-lead electrocardiogram accurately with particular emphasis on identification of significant ischemic changes. Correlates appropriate interventions based on interpretations.
_____ Performs emergency cardiac care measures, including defibrillation, initiation and maintenance of intravenous fluids, giving emergency medications and administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation and/or advanced cardiac life support measures.
_____ Identifies dysrhythmias accurately and correlates appropriate interventions.
_____ Operates twelve-lead electrocardiogram and/ or monitoring and telemetry monitoring equipment.
_____ Performs psychomotor exercises at activity levels consistent with phases of Cardiac Rehabilitation protocol.
_____ Utilizes educational techniques consistent with principles of teaching and learning.
_____ Operates audiovisual equipment for patient education.
_____ Operates ambulatory monitoring equipment.
_____ Promotes behavioral changes consistent with medication compliance, smoking withdrawal, dietary modification and appropriate exercise habits.

RequirementsBSN preferred.
Telemetry Certified required.
Prior Cardiac Rehab or Cardiovascular Nursing Experience Required.
ACLS & BLS required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
