Kumon North America seeks a Strategy Planning Specialist to support and help strategic business initiatives, including marketing and outreach initiatives. The Strategy Planning Specialist will provide quantitative and qualitative findings, insight, and recommendations to help drive business strategies. The Strategy Planning Specialist will be responsible for driving initiatives from data collection and analysis to presentation and recommendations. Specific projects may vary depending on business needs. Some projects may include:
New expansion opportunities including the Panama Expansion Project
Early Learner Activities
U.S. New Center Growth Project
Procedure Manual
Responsibilities
Collects, integrates, and presents data findings in support of the company's short-term to long-term strategies, planning, and decision making
Prepares business proposals and presentations based on data findings
Supports field staff and Field Support Center departments plan and implement programs to accelerate the growth of Kumon North America
Proactively identifies business development opportunities by keeping abreast of news in the market about the company and relevant market opportunities
Creates and standardizes internal business reports
Coordinates inter-organizational initiatives with other departments including the Marketing Team, Information Technology Team, and field operations
Coordinates and organizes meetings with other Kumon regional headquarters
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
2 years of experience within Kumon North America
Project management experience strongly preferred; PMP Certification a plus
Fieldwork experience preferred
Marketing knowledge; understanding marketing needs, and opportunities for growth
Experience in management consulting, data analytics, strategy, or related field
Ability to use analytical, logical, and organizational skills to make business decisions using complex information
Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis
Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly
Experience presenting data, analysis, and recommendations to senior-level management.
Excellent critical and strategic thinking skills
Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and have flexibility to respond to changing demands and projects
Ability to travel locally and domestically on a regular basis
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Confident and persuasive; capable of building trust amongst associates and senior-management

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
