Assistant Vice President, Global Security Investigations

The Assistant Vice President, Global Security Investigations will report to the Chief Security Officer within Corporate Security. The selected individual will be tasked with helping to develop and drive overall process and strategy for implementation of global security investigations process. This person will work closely with Legal, Compliance and Human Resources partners to ensure collaborative, consistent, clear, and ethical investigations operations. Additionally, the investigations leader will partner with Legal/Compliance Global Investigations leader to ensure compliance with agreed upon investigations policies, processes and procedures. Responsibilities Organizational Leadership Lead a global team of investigators responsible for investigations that may involve fraud, employee code of conduct violations, criminal activity, and breaches of confidential or personal information Lead and develop staff handling large portfolios of investigations. Provides ongoing mentoring, training and development to build investigation skills and competencies. Lead and run individual investigations, in particular those involving sensitive matters especially investigations that impact clients. Develop talent through mentorship and developmental opportunities. Ensure completeness and accuracy of written reports generated by investigators. Identify and/or develop investigative training programs to improve the effectiveness of investigators and other security personnel. Partner Management Work with legal, Human Resources, Business Unit, Client and Law Enforcement personnel as required during the course of investigations. Engage with Line of Business leaders during key investigations Ensure that partners who have raised concerns receive timely feedback on status of process and outcomes Demonstrate a high level of sensitivity in addressing employee concerns, ensuring appropriate measures are taken to safeguard against retaliation against reporting persons. Partner with the Cyber Investigations team responding and providing investigative support for cyber security incidents Process/Technology Management Handle the development of resources and tools that help drive consistent high-quality investigations to ensure timely and appropriate investigation management Identify areas for investigations process improvements and streamlining investigations processes Drive consistency and investigative standard methodologies across the organization Develop automation and process tool solutions to drive investigation effectiveness, quality and reporting. Law Enforcement Engagement Maintain strong Law Enforcement contacts across multiple geographies and governmental agencies primarily focused on United States but also in Europe and Asia Participate in intelligence sharing information security forums Engage and collaborate with Law Enforcement during critical investigations including cyber security incidents Crisis Management Team Serve as the primary investigative leader on the Global Crisis Management team Participate in all Global and Regional Crisis Management teams as the lead investigative representative (including tabletop exercises) Qualifications Leadership: Excellent skills in leading investigation teams including leading cross functional teams over which the Global Security Investigation lead has direct authority in order to help work towards timely handling of investigations. Leadership in demonstrating behavior consistent with Code of Ethics and what we value to ensure handling of investigations reflects the highest ethical standards. Industry Experience: Demonstrated corporate security investigation expertise in handling multiple complex and sensitive investigations or similar experience is helpful including, for example, investigations into fraud in heavily regulated industries, supporting large global cyber investigations, etc. Law Enforcement Experience: Demonstrated success in a law enforcement capability for a US Federal Government agency. Such experience should have involved running lead on key investigations. Influence: Demonstrated experience to influence all levels of management, all divisions worldwide. Many investigations involve highly sensitive matters and can involve investigations into concerns about employees and leaders in any part of Cognizant's global business. Additionally, investigations may impact clients and Cognizant's client relationships. Ensuring these investigations are appropriately resolved requires ability to influence senior partners in specific countries or region of the world. Decision-making: A track record of exercising decision-making regarding implementation of global security investigation process and in individual investigations that are being handled by direct reports including decisions to modify processes, select new tools and rebalance resources based on workload and expertise. Problem Solving: Be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Project/Program Management: Excellent social and project management skills to lead and handle the timely implementation of projects. Examples include projects related to the launch of new global investigations processes or new systems to run investigations records. Job ID: 00029223201 Additional Qualifications Bachelor's degree Prior corporate security or litigation investigation support experience Experience with investigations supporting cyber security incidents Experience taking care of global partners (south Asia and Europe preferred) CPP certification a plus Flexible to work weekends and evenings as required Willingness to travel globally Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills. Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (word, power-point, excel, etc.) Extensive experience with case management systems Experience with FinCen and/or AML reporting requirements desired Ability to lead project teams and handle project implementation. Excellent analytical skills and ability to access potential risks that are not readily apparent. Excellent ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams, senior leaders and other key partners.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
