Field Sales Operations Manager

Position Purpose JTI USA is presently seeking a Field Sales Operations Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for the outsourcing of retail call coverage and distribution services for JTI USA in line with the company's strategic objectives. The position requires a minimum of 60% travel to ensure optimal ROI with high-level execution at retail.   This position has the flexibility of working remote anywhere in the U.S., requires a minimum of 60% travel across the U.S. and will require checking in to our Teaneck, NJ and Princeton, NJ offices when necessary.   Responsibilities Strategic direction: Ensure that outsourced services meet the needs of the organization and establish goals and objectives that are aligned with internal stakeholders and clearly defined with vendors in order to leverage opportunities and maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Process management: Establish business processes and communication protocols necessary to support quality execution in the marketplace and timely reporting of actionable information. Vendor & fiduciary responsibility: Cultivate relationships, source and negotiate with appropriate service providers. Track and maintain expenditures in line with budget guidance and measure vendor performance to maximize ROI. Provide performance analysis and compliance assurance on coverage requirements and initiatives. Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the Key Account Team, Trade Marketing and other functional areas to build consensus on program recommendations, develop implementation plans and create support material as needed. Motivate and guide the professional development of the team reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent. Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager's request.   Functional Skills Adept at training and motivating others. Effective use of strategic thinking and persuasive communication. Ability to develop and present compelling business rationale. Detail orientation and solid organizational skills.   Qualifications & Experience BA/BS Degree required 5+ years tobacco (preferred) or FMCG experience in a sales related role that includes interaction with field sales and trade customers. 3rd party vendor management and key account experience is a plus. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
